START Fest 2010 was a success!!!!

The Calcasieu Emergency Response Training Center sponsored the 2nd Annual Special Techniques and Response Training Fest (S.T.A.R.T.) scheduled for July 9 - 11, 2010 at the Sulphur,La Ninth Grade Campus located at 600 Willow St., Sulphur, La. 70663

The event was a success with 141 emergency responders from throughout Louisiana attending the classes that were presented during the training conference.

IFSAC Certification test from LSUFETI now offered each month at CERTC

LSU certification test at CERTC Tuesday, August 31, 2010 @ 6:00pm

If you are interested in taking a certification test for the certification firefighting programs offered by LSUFETI please register with the Certification Department at LSUFETI as soon as possible. CERTC has also been able to schedule LSU certification testing every month this year except for November.

Open Training for Municipal/Volunteer Fire Departments

Take advantage of hands on training now!

CERTC has reserved the first Tuesday of every month as an Open training night for all municipal/volunteer fire departments. Departments can take advantage of participating in hands on training that will meet their PIAL requirements as well as better prepare their firefighters for emergency responses.
